Episode: 00203 Released on March 18, 2024 Description: There are transferable skills in every industry – you just have to know how to frame it. In this episode, Amanda Wiggins explains how she transferred her skills as an accountant to a financial investigator to a fraud analyst supervisor to a senior intelligence analyst. Amanda's meticulous attention to detail and tenacity helped her review thousands of financial records to identify fraudulent transactions and activities. Amanda explains how coming from a field outside of law enforcement helped bring a new perspective to investigations that made a difference in analyzing and solving crimes. Amanda and Jason discuss the crime analysis scene in Florida, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), as well as the certification offered. Amanda is currently a senior crime analyst for the Florida Gaming Control Commission.
