Australia’s most famous bushranger and outlaw, Ned Kelly, has returned — not to Glenrowan, but to the stage. Nearly fifty years after Reg Livermore first unleashed his wild, homegrown musical about Ned Kelly, Victorian Opera has brought it roaring back to life. Livermore, who once strutted as Frank‑N‑Furter in The Rocky Horror Show and electrified audiences in Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar, calls it a “neglected musical.” Maybe so — but this revival proves Ned Kelly isn't just a one-hit wonder.
