Morning Report 11 Mar 21: US sharemarkets were mixed on Wednesday

The rotation into cyclical and value stocks resumed. US House Democrats passed a US$1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package. Tame consumer prices data for February eased concerns about a spike in inflation and elevated bond yields. Shares of Boeing jumped by 6.4%, but Apple shares fell by 0.9%. Headphone maker Koss' shares soared 69.2%. Shares of gaming company Roblox jumped 54.4% in its trading debut. The Dow Jones index closed up by 464 points or 1.5%, hitting a record closing high. The S&P 500 index lifted 0.6%, but the Nasdaq index fell by 5 points or less than 0.1%.
