Washington, D.C. – UNESCO Center for Peace, the flagship member of the U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations today announced the list of its 2020 Cross-Cultural & Peace Crafter Award Laureates – including health professionals such as Dr. Zhang Peilan, experts in the stroke screening and prevention, Dr. Chen Juyu, expert in biological immunity application, and renowned artist such as Annie Haslam, vocalist, songwriter, and painter,
Kathy Sledge, singer, songwriter, author,
Rev. Dr. Cindy Paulos, a music producer, author/poet,
Siedah Garrett, singer and songwriter and
Julian Lennon, singer, musician, photographer, and philanthropist.

On September 20, 2020, an hour of music will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am EDT to mark this year’s event.
The Cross-Cultural & Peace Crafters event is hosted each year by UNESCO Center for Peace as a way of Shining a spotlight and to honor Artists, Scientists and social justice activists from around the world who using their talents and skills to help make the world a better place for all.
“These individuals have contributed peace in world in such a dire need for peacemakers and social justice. They have significantly contributed each in its own way to make this world just a little better” said Guy Djoken, the Executive Director of UNESCO Center for Peace.
