As we continue with our reading from the section Psychotherapy, Purpose, Process and Practice from A Course in Miracles we recognise that each of us in the process of healing. Whether you go to someone for help, or they come to you for help, both are in the process of healing! I am what came out of the Mind of God and since God is not sick, I, as an inheritor of God’s light cannot be sick either….and neither can my ‘brother’

Lesson 136 - Sickness is a defence against the Truth. No one can heal unless he understands what sickness seems to serve….being causeless and without a meaningful intent of any kind, it cannot be at all.

Here are a couple of simple questions to ask yourself if you are dealing with any form of sickness

Am I using this sickness to avoid looking at a deeper problem?
What might I be trying to prove to myself or someone else by having these symptoms?

In this session, you're invited to be your own psychotherapist by answering the deeper questions being asked to uncover your internal attitudes that are the root cause of your symptoms.

And lastly, I refer to lesson 23 where we are told by the master himself that “I can escape from the world I see by giving up attack thoughts”.
