May 23rd: What Does It Mean to Be Great? Jesus Teaches James and John | Devotional for Kids | Carpooling with Jesus

In today’s Carpooling with Jesus, James and John ask Jesus a bold question:
👉 “Can we sit at your right and left in your kingdom?” (Mark 10:37 CSB)

They wanted to be important—but Jesus gave them (and us!) a better picture of greatness. He said:
👉 “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Mark 10:43 CSB)

Kids will learn:

• What it meant to sit at a king’s right and left hand

• How the world defines greatness vs. how Jesus defines it

• Why quietly serving others is true greatness in God’s kingdom
