Annual Parish Retreat Talk # 1

Fr. Ben Holdren, describes prayer as shifting our focus off of ourselves and onto God. At the heart of prayer is our relationship with the Living God. From that flows our identities, Beloved Sons and Daughters. Secure in our identities we cooperate with Him in our Mission. We falter when we seek after our own mission first, thinking our identity is found in this world, and cultivating our relationships to secure this false identity.
