The National Library of Medicine says divorced parties have a 27% increase of mortality, men have a 39% higher rate of suicide as a divorced or separated man compared to a married man. According to the AACFL, divorced parties suffer financially. A woman’s financial standard of living can drop up to 50%, a mans, 20%, 75% of women apply for welfare benefits after a divorce and up to 40% of woman fall into poverty after a divorce.
