Happy 2023, and I think this is a great conversation to kick-off the New Year and 2nd Semester of school. Dr. Erik Demeulenaere of Clark University wrote a journal article that intrigued me called Disrupting School Rituals based on a class he co-taught with two other local teachers in Worcester, MA.
I hope this encourages you as you think about this in your classroom and schools and how it might help you reimagine the good (but messy) work that can happen in those spaces.
