Morning Report 20 Oct 21: US stocks buoyed by upbeat earnings

US markets advanced overnight to end around session highs helped by encouraging earnings results, although interest rates and oil prices moved higher at the same time. The Dow rose 0.6% to near session highs. The S&P 500 gained 0.7% and the Nasdaq index added 0.7%
