In this episode Mary Schaeffer, AP Now founder and podcast host talks about the results from a very recent AP Now poll on the impact the coronavirus is having on business operations and business travel. Because it is related to the issue, she also discusses a poll conducted a little over a year ago on Remote Workers in AP. She explains how listeners can get the second one for free and the first for five dollars.
She begins by explaining the way AP Now collects business intelligence and the component that allows it to get to the heart of the matter in a way few if any, other organizations can. She then moves onto share how the market is reacting to the coronavirus with 42% encouraging online rather than in-person meetings. The report contains other common tactics in use, commentary from survey participants on what their companies are doing and advice from several health organizations regarding Workplace response to the problem.
She then shares information from the Remote Workers in AP poll conducted a little over a year ago. This poll was conducted after a group of seminar attendees shared that they were starting to permit remote working for one or two days a week. They all reported a big improvement in morale and almost no turnover as a result. She shares information on how listeners can get this report at no cost. She also tells folks how they can be included in future research (and get the results for free).
