Jesus walks into the political trap of the Judean culture war and is hung between two evil-doers. Everyone there knows that within the secular frame truth and history are played out. Jesus is evil, on the wrong side of history and gets the judgment of God. But his death, which is supposed to be entertaining becomes deeply troubling for those who observe.
