God Deals with Our Rebellion, Jonah 1:4-17 (18 Nov 2018)

This week we will see how the love and compassion of God for a religious rebel sees him ‘send a storm’ to ‘wreak’ and expose his sinful response. It’s a hard idea to understand that sometimes God sends storms into our lives out of love not punishment because he knows if we are left to continue in our sin we will get exactly what we are playing with a ship-wreaked faith.

 

God is faithful, and will do what is necessary to craft real faith in us. He will not relent until that work is complete, isn’t it wonderful that in His glorious dissatisfaction, He will not relent until every microbe of sin is removed from every one of the hearts of his children.
