Disability

In a conversation that Kirsty rates 5 stars (but then she’s easily pleased), we swallow back the fear of offending and frankly getting things all kinds of wrong and delve in to the issues surrounding disabilities.

Why when 1 in 5 people in the UK are disabled aren’t they similarly represented on our TV screens? Are disabled people fed up with being either pitied or held up as heroes? Why isn't everyone valued and deemed to be exactly enough just as they are? 

 

And why isn’t Kirsty suitably impressed by Rebecca’s Stephen Hawking story?
