FREE/DEM Community Podcast: Azad lab Ep11_Facebook use karne ka haq kyun nehi hain mujhe?

Azad Lab (Free To Speak) is a show that discusses issues that are often sidelined by the mainstream but that cause much disruption and anxiety among young people like masculinity, caste etc. Episode producer Hemlata is 17 and studies in the local government school. A Freedem Community Reporter, she is shy but opinionated and strong willed who loves to read.

 "Isn't it my right as an individual to use social media to express myself? if my brother can do so, why can't I ?"

 

Host Hemlata tries to throw light on  the issue of gender disparity prevalent in the usage of social media sharing anecdotes from her own experiences and those of her friends. She shared perspectives from both female and male point of view by speaking to her male and female friends regarding this.

 

Azad Lab is one of 6 shows produced as part of the Free/Dem Community Podcasts, the online avatar of the Freedem WhatsApp Radio run by community members of Tajpur Pahadi and other urban slums in and around Delhi.
