To put it mildly, Jesus and the Pharisees had a complicated relationship. They’re famous for their fights, but they often shared meals together. Jesus, however, could be a difficult dinner guest. He refused to follow etiquette and protocol, sometimes insulting the Pharisees to their face. At this dinner with the Pharisees, Jesus upsets the apple cart once more as he proclaims, “Guess who’s going for dinner!”
