n this episode of In the Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics, we welcome Doug Flynn who watched as the "Big Red Machine" was being built never thinking he'd have a front-row seat when the Reds won back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and 1976.
Flynn was a multi-sport athlete at Bryan Station High School coming from an athletic family and has led an amazing life not only playing Major League Baseball but singing with the Oak Ridge Boys and having a long marriage with a former Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader whom Pete Rose set him up with.
Over the years Flynn has broadcasted Reds games and has also appeared on Kentucky Wildcats baseball games and on the SEC Network. Doug talks about the Big Red Machine of Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, and his good friend Johnny Bench along with some of the top players he played against and pitchers he faced during a baseball career that spanned 11 seasons with five teams.
We welcome Doug Flynn to In The Trenches.
