CHEA Webinar: Institutional Liability, Clinical Programs and Quality

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) invites you to participate in a webinar on institutional liability, clinical programs and quality. 

 

The webinar will focus on questions including:

 

• Distinction between risks associated with universities, programs with clinical requirements and risks associated with accreditors: What might liability protection look like for each group?
• Do virtual clinicals carry the same level of quality preparation as on-site preparation … and what type of evidence would verify “quality” preparation? Do "virtual" clinicals meet the requirements for licensing exams?
• What challenges can be expected with virtual clinicals? How will these challenges be mitigated? Should accreditors expect virtual clinicals to become the norm beyond COVID-19?
• What is the process for “norming” virtual clinicals across national accreditors’ boundaries?

 

Panelists will include Sonny Ramaswamy, President, Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; Marsal Stoll, Chief Executive Officer, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing; Peggy Valentine, Interim Chancellor, Fayetteville State University; and Tom Smalling, Chief Executive Officer, Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
