AM Report 16 Apr 18: USD markets lower ahead of Syrian strike confirmation.

US sharemarkets ended lower on Friday, dragged down by bank stocks. Shares in JP Morgan fell by 1.7% after earnings disappointed analysts. Wells Fargo lost 3.4% and Citigroup fell by 1.6%. The Dow Jones index fell by almost 123 points or 0.5%. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.3% while the Nasdaq eased by almost 34 points or 0.5%.
