Episode # 919 - Progress: Past And Present

Today Father Koys is back with us, and along with Tony, talks about an article in the news about how June has arrived, but brings up the recent street violence that has been happening around the area, raising more on not only that, but changes in the definition of marriage and same sex marriages.  Father Koys encourages our loyal listeners to provide for progress in the times we live in and as usual he brings to mind some historical figures to help explain this further and that progress is relative and leads to various results.  With all this in mind, Father Koys and Tony play (metaphorically and silly) a game of Russian Roulette dealing with this crazy example, explaining the crazy logic behind everything talked about.  With all this in mind, Father Koys encourages everyone to be proud to be a radio listener, in terms on not listing to music a lot, but listening to talk shows, like this one, to hear what is going on in the world.  Father Koys also brings up the notion that stupidity has consequences, in terms of what is going on in the world, not only today, but the past as well.    Since we are in the transitional period between the Ascension and Pentecost, Father Koys points out and reminds us about the 7 gifts the Holy Spirit presents/gives to us, as well as during Communion and Holy Communion and also points out that with all this, we cannot escape God and God is helping us always and loves us.  As the show closes, Father Koys talks about struggles we go through in the modern world, with jobs, stress, emotional, and other forms that we go through and face.
