In this episode Julie chats with Allie Iberle of the South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council. She chats about her background and about a new citizen science initiative that the SAFMC has implemented called FISHstory. In this project, citizen scientists use the Zooniverse platform to identify fish in over 1200 pictures taken between the 1940s and the 1970s at a dock in Daytona, Florida. The aim of the project is to create a baseline for commercial and recreational fisheries catches in the South Atlantic region.
