Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Lucy, a young martyr whose name means light and whose witness still challenges the Church.
St. Lucy was only 13 years old when she gave her life for Christ. Her courage invites us to reflect on how we are forming faith in the next generation — especially our children and grandchildren.
In this reflection, Father Jonathan asks a challenging but important question:
Are we raising children with a faith strong enough to endure difficulty, sacrifice, and real conviction?
This isn’t about fear or suffering — it’s about forming hearts that truly know Jesus, love Him deeply, and are willing to follow Him with trust and joy.
May the light of St. Lucy inspire parents, godparents, educators, and all of us to model a faith that is real, lived, and rooted in Christ.
