The emphasis on the strict basis of God's acceptance can never be enough; we need to be constantly reminded that we bring nothing to the table to be accepted by God and we can do nothing to sustain this acceptance. It is by faith in Christ alone and this is a gift given in spite of our estate in life. Our pastor labored to affirm this position as he continues in our walk through Paul's letter to the Philippian church.
