What exactly is nonviolent communication (NVC)? Leanna and Jared welcome special guests, Mara and Rory, to talk vulnerably about their discovery and implementation of nonviolent communication, and how their personal exploration and studies of NVC have helped their relationship survive through the pandemic. Jared takes us through the in's and out's of NVC, including observations, feelings, needs and requests, and Rory, Maya and Leanna give examples of how this has played out in their relationships. Rory and Maya also do a role play of exactly how NVC can look during conflict and the importance of using it as a de-escalation tool.
