Romans 7:1-25

 

There are 3 enemies that wage war on our souls:

  1: The World -- The External Foe

  2: The Sin Nature -- The Internal Foe

  3: The Devil -- The Infernal Foe

 

1. Realize that all who are in Christ have died to the law. (v. 1-6)

 

2. Recognize the function of the law (v. 7-13)

  1: The law reveals sin (v. 7)

  2: The law arouses sin (v. 8-9)

  3: The law brings death (v. 10-11)

  4: The law shows sin to be utterly sinful (v. 12-13)

 

3. Remember that the law is powerless to win the war within (v. 14-25)
