Many of you know that I’ve been married to an IT genius for a long time! His number 1 rule? Do not take liquid near your computer. I don’t even remember how many times people have come to him and said, “Frans, I spilled coffee/soda/water on my laptop. Can you fix it?” So what do you think the look on his face was as I came and told him that I’d just spilled water onto my laptop keyboard and it made a funny ‘pfff’ sound as I turned it off? Um yes, I got the same look as he gives to everyone else…

I don’t even remember how many times people have come to him and said, “Frans, I spilled coffee/soda/water on my laptop. Can you fix it?”

Um yes, I got the same look as he gives to everyone else…

We switched it off and he told me to let it dry for 24 hours. Honestly, I felt like my arm had been cut off, but I wasn’t going to risk any more damage than I’d already done.

Then the thoughts started.

What if…you lose all the information?

When did you do your last backup?

What will you do if the laptop is dead?

Just then Jesus ‘nudged’ me and gave me an invitation…
