Crushing student debt is causing families all sorts of problems. There are high costs of getting a loan, often very high rates and sometimes families and students simply borrow too much. Here in Iowa there is an alternative and it's called Iowa Student Loan a non-profit that not only is a place to borrow money but, more importantly, a place that will help counsel students and families about how much to borrow.
