These can be longer than our own life times and we must be ready to let go when we are done, and handover to generations after us. That is why the establishment of an enterprise is a life long project and should be about others than just ourselves. Ours is t leave the legacy for the generations after us. If we do good work, they will always appreciate the foundation we shall have laid. You want to imagine your enterprise surviving the future renewal and decline phase, s en though you are likely not to be there when that happens. But your foundation work would be the reason the enterprise survive the phase. You must be so convinced that you confidently celebrate that phase today.
