HELPING SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE is what Brianna was doing for 6 years in American rape centres. All of us can be inspired by her story and reflect how we can show up to contribute to help provided to millions of victims out there. Everybody has got expertise, time or money that can be donated so that the support system for survivors of domestic and intimate-partner violence works more effectively.
Have you listened to the previous interviews with Brianna on this channel? Check them out now! We explained what is sexual violence and what kind of safety planning is possible in times of corona lockdown.

She has been a counselor for adults and children experiencing violence, a medical advocate for survivors of sexual assault, and has worked in emergency shelters. She currently works with a Brussels-based NGO that advocates for human rights at a political level. She manages two programs: women’s rights and gender equality; and LGBTQI people and human rights. Brianna has a MA in International Migration with a specialization in Human Rights Law from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies, and a BS in Psychology from Northeastern University.
