Carthy calls for revision of EU postal services directive

The Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy is calling for a revision of the EU postal services directive which he says prohibits national governments from subsidising the running of post offices.

The Midlands North-West MEP says plans to close nearly one hundred and sixty post offices around the country are a scandal. And he's demanding State subvention of post offices.
