Mid-Session 12 Nov. 19: ASX dips as banks and miners weigh

The Aussie market is giving up a fair portion of Monday’s gains with banks and miners weighing heavily on the ASX 200 index at lunch on Tuesday. The benchmark index is down around 30 points or nearly 0.5% after the first few hours of trade as miners continue to be hampered by softer commodity prices. Westpac (WBC) is also the major drag among financials, sliding as it trades ex-dividend.
