THE BLOOD COVENANT (PART 11)

The longest speech God gives in Scripture after Mount Sinai is in the book of 2 Samuel. In this speech God is swearing promises to King David. He says, “I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. … Your throne shall be established forever” (2 Sam. 7:12, 16). This covenant that God makes with David plays a central role in Scripture from this point forward. God will be faithful to His sworn promises. As He always is!
