Market Close 10 July 19: Local shares advance led by technology stocks

The Australian sharemarket has managed to finish firmer for the first time this week, despite losing some earlier gains in late trade. The Materials sector was the lone laggard, slipping 0.5%. The ASX 200 (XJO) closed up 24 points or 0.4% to 6,689.
