Can The Heart Be Directed?- Proverbs 23:19- August 25, 2019

What do we do with our hearts? As Christians, we know that God has made our hearts clean and new. But, we can grow cold and are prone to wander. Do we follow our inclinations wherever they lead in the name of authenticity? Do we wait for our emotions to reengage with God and spiritual things before we pursue them?  The wisdom of God calls us to direct our clean and new hearts in his ways. Yes, the heart can be directed, and God has given us the hope and help to do so.
