In today's round table discussion episode, the gang tackles the effects of Social Media and the 24 hour news cycle on both individuals, as well as civilization as a whole. There are without a doubt countless benefits to social media. Whether it be connecting with friends and family keep in touch from around the globe, or helping small businesses spread the word about their brands. However, with that also comes a long list of downsides that could very well be proven to lead to upticks in depression, envy and more. As for the 24-hour news cycle, simply put, it shouldn't exist. Force feeding and manipulating stories for ratings is a surefire way to corrupt any news outlet, and unfortunately, we see more and more of this with each passing day.
