Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born September 4, 1981, in Houston, TX. She rose to fame in the early 90s as a member of the all-girl group (who deserve their own induction into the prestigious Diva Hall of Fame) Destiny's Child. The four ladies of this group were whittled down to three with accusatory fingers pointing in all directions (see the movie re-make of Dreamgirls in which Beyoncé starred and then revisit the story behind Diana Ross & the Supremes for a clearer picture). Originally managed by Matthew Knowles (her father), Beyoncé was featured front and center positioning her to be the breakout star of the remaining trio. Beyoncé released her debut album Dangerously in Love in 2003 which spawned two number-one singles (Crazy In Love and Baby Boy) and earned her numerous awards. Destiny's Child officially disbanded in 2006 and the rest...is history. Today, Beyoncé is a household name and worldwide superstar. She is a strong black woman who controls every aspect of her career; including her image and her personal life. Party Favorz adores her because she is FIERCE!
