”A win is a win” – Mairead McGuinness reacts to EU vote

Midlands North-West MEP Mairead McGuinness says she looks forward to working with the incoming President of the European Commission.

Ursula von der Leyen received the support of just 51 per cent of MEPs who voted.

She will replace Jean-Claude Juncker in the Autumn and becomes the first woman to take up the role.
