Part 2 - Dr. Frank Mills, Director of the Easter Caribbean Center at UVI and Census Manager of the USVI 2020 Census of Population and Housing, provides an update on the workings of the Census, including the challenges COVID-19 has posed in this data collection. Having served in the last five censuses, Dr. Mills provides some perspective on how this process has evolved in the Territory since 1980, detailing population diversification and growth or decline decade by decade. Dr. Mills ends the show by projecting that we may not make the 100,000 count Public Use Micro Data Sample (PUMS) file threshold, underscoring the importance of participation in the USVI 2020 Census.
