The altar of sacrifice at the temple in Jerusalem was a sight to behold. At 7 1/2 feet long on each side and 4 1/2 feet high, it would have made for an impressive sight as flames and fragrance lifted high above it. However, it was not at this impressive altar but at another altar-rough and ugly looking, that God won forgiveness for us.
