Two— Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin of Lansing is urging the Biden administration to pause its plan to release as much as six-billion dollars in humanitarian aid to Iran. She says that is due to Iran's support of Hamas, which attacked Israel over the weekend killing roughly 12-hundred people. Slotkin says any further involvement with Iran needs to be paused.
Three -- The United Auto Workers strike is expanding. The organization said in a tweet that 87-hundred UAW members at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant are joining the strike after Ford "refused to make further movement in bargaining." Large F-Series pick-up trucks are made that the plant, which are one of the company's more profitable vehicles.
