Calling All Cars - Murder for Insurance

At 3 o'clock in the morning, four men on a duck hunting trip are traveling on the highway toward Topanga Canyon. Suddenly, a car coming the opposite direction stops in the middle of the road, blocking their way. The hunters watch as a man steps out of the car yelling "please help, robbery,  they shot my wife!" The hunters care for them as best as they can, then take them to the hospital in Santa Monica. The wife dies in route, but the husband is taken to surgery to remove a bullet from his shoulder. Later, Deputy Sherriff Walter Hunter is questioning the young husband. He says "we were on the highway when a Chrysler Roadster ran us off the road. Two guys got out of the car and robbed us. As they started to leave, my wife says to one of them -- isn't your last name Woods? That's when the shooting started".
