We begin today with the mesmerizing “The Toads Are Singing”, a languid, late spring song featuring Mariam’s 8-string ukuelele. “Mandiya Viaje” begins with a torrent of native flute and echoed piano and develops as the story of a solitary musician who lives in harmony with the earth and devotes his music to the full moon. “Home Sweet Home” is a lush gospel piece with a lovely vocal and stately piano from Bob. Mariam’s native flute and lovely vocals trade space in this mesmerizing song. “I Only Want To Serve In The Light” is a devotional, inspired groove featuring acoustic guitar from Mariam and “Spirit Of Fire” is an impassioned prayer from Mariam’s “Vision Quest” album.
