Clifford Brooks was born in Athens, Georgia. His first collection of poetry, “The Draw of Broken Eyes & Whirling Metaphysics” was nominated for a Pulitzer and Georgia Author of the Year. His second poetry collection, “Athena Departs: Gospel of a Man Apart,” was nominated for Georgia Author of the Year.
