Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022): New Movie Discussion

Today on the pod we drink beer and discuss George Miller's passion project, Three Thousand Years of Longing, a movie where an Australian filmmaker takes an Istanbul-set, pre-Islamic Arabic tale, and creates a piece of fiction for Western audience. Well, worldwide audiences, likely, and the Djinn (Idris Elba) is very romantic! Tilda Swinton is back at it, there are sweeping scenes of fantasy, stories come to life... moviegoers are divided on the picture, but we're happy we saw it on the big screen. We discuss!
