Seeing and Forgiving Without Shame

Sometimes when there is pain or injustice, we don’t really want to look. Sometimes that can be because we’ve been taught that what we focus on expands. Sometimes it’s because it hurts too much. Yet we have to feel to heal.

What’s happening now is much more complex than simply loving people with darker skin. It requires deep changes in law and administration. Though it is inspiring to think of the freedom and transformation that will come from this unprecented time on the planet it is also time of great pain, which it requires us to look honestly without going into shame. Let’s open our eyes and our hearts to see and forgive without shame.
