Jay Martel is an executive producer and writer for "Key & Peele" on Comedy Central. He's created various TV shows, written screenplays with UCB cofounder Ian Roberts, gardened for Richard Nixon, and was once arrested for confronting Jeb Bush about Florida's death penalty program. He's also written comic pieces for "The New Yorker" and "Rolling Stone." Channel Blue is his first novel.
