Is Christmas giving bad?

Why does charitable giving spike in December? People give so much this time of year, yet food banks are in serious need during the summer.  Why does it seem many are so generous and compassionate during Christmas, but not the rest of the year? Is it joy or guilt? If we follow Jesus all the time, shouldn’t we be generous all the time? Think about it…Jesus expects us to be generous because he’s generous.  Let’s work on reflecting him not out of guilt or duty, but as a reflection of who he is. Remember, Christmas is a time to remember that self-giving love and holiness in their truest form entered the world. Jesus is coming.
