US Close 28 May 19: US & UK markets closed for holidays

The US & UK markets were closed for holidays last night. Shares across Europe edged higher. Fiat-Chrysler & Renault surged on merger discussions. The Australian market is set for a quiet start but could be helped by mining strength. The iron ore price surged by 4.2% in overnight trade.
