Dubbed the “die glocke” or “the bell,” it was the ultimate “wunderwaffe” or wonder weapon. Some claimed it was an antigravity aircraft, designed to outmaneuver the Allies’ fighter planes. Others claimed it was a time machine, and Hitler’s intent was to travel back in time and correct his military mistakes, guaranteeing him victory. Still others thought die glocke was built from salvaged alien technology, a weapon truly out of this world.
