Morning Report 14 Oct 21: US stocks advance despite more signs of a near term Fed taper

US stocks rose overnight as investors reflected on company earnings, the latest news from the US Federal Reserve and higher inflation figures. At the close the Dow was down slightly, the S&P 500 was up 0.30%, while the Nasdaq gained 0.7%.
